Udupi, Jan 17: Members of Sri Krishna Seva Balaga, officials of City Municipality Council and district administration are ready to celebrate Paryayotsava of Admar Math to be held on January 17 and 18, informed honorary president of Seva Balaga MLA K Raghupathi Bhat on Thursday, January 16.
Addressing media, he further said, "We have made all arrangements for the smooth flow of Paryaya event. We have given clear instructions to the concerned teams. According to the instruction of Ishapriya Theertha Swamiji, the committee is emphasizing on spreading positive messages as well as portraying Tulunadu culture through tableaux.
“To highlight the Tulunadu culture, five tableaux will be built which will feature different departments. Some of them include cleaning, sanitation, and agriculture displaying the beauty of agriculture and the tourism department tableau will feature Tulunada Srushti (creation of Tulunadu).
“Over 15 state cultural teams will participate in Paryaya procession for the first time in its history, with the support of Kannada and Culture minister C T Ravi.
“The procession will start at Jodukatte, sharp 2 am on January 18. All folk cultural teams will go in front palanquins of Swamiji and several tableaux will follow that.
“There will be public felicitation for descending Paryaya Swamiji Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha of Palimaru Math to commemorate his two years of achievements.
“For the occasion, the roads were repaired, making Udupi a pothole-free city. The CMC and district administration put additional interest in completing the task. Repair works were done in Manipal, Kalsanka, service road, Old Diana circle, Malpe and Kinnimulky area.
“As many as 80 additional workers have been appointed for the cleaning purposes. Mobile toilets have been installed and the street light problems have been resolved.
“Darbar will be held in the afternoon on January 18, as per the convenience of the devotees. Darbar pass will be provided in Admar office and near Rajangana,” he said.
Govindaraju, the member of Sri Krishna Seva Balaga, said that there is a felicitation programme for many famous people who have been successful in their respective fields.
Cultural programmes will be held at Shri Narahari Teertha Vedike, Rajangana.
