Bantwal, Jan 16: Pradhan Mantri Bala Puraskar award, which is given by the Women and Children welfare ministry of government of India, is bagged by Moorje Sunita Prabhu of the taluk.
The award contains certificate and Rs one lac in cash. Sunita, who is brilliant, was awarded this prize for having represented India in the 80th Science and Technology Exhibition that took place at Phoenix of USA in 2019.
Moorje Sunita Prabhu is studying PUC at CFAL educational institute of Mangaluru. She is the daughter of industrialist of Beltangady and owner of Vinayaka Wood industries, Vivekananda Prabhu and Shanthala Prabhu couple. She is an alumnus of Ujire Sri Manjunatheshwara CBSE School.
Sunita will receive this award from the president of India Ramanath Kovind on January 22 in a programme that will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. In addition, she is going to take part in the Republic Day parade on January 26 and has an opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and eminent guests from other countries.
