Madikeri, Jan 16: Sleuths of Income Tax (IT) department raided the house of actress Rashmika Mandanna on the morning of Thursday, January 16.

The IT officers raided the house of the actress that is situated in Virajpet of Kodagu district and they are in the process of verifying the documents. More than 10 officers are in the team that is conducting the operation at the residence of the renowned actress.

Rahmika made her debut on the silver screen in 2016. She has acted in Kannada movies like 'Kirik Party', 'Anjani Putra' and 'Chamak'. In Telugu, she has acted in movies like 'Govindam', 'Devadas', 'Dear Comrade' and 'Bhishma'.

The operation has started at 7.30 am in the morning of Thursday at the Serenity home of the actress. It is suspected that the actress might have quoted wrong remuneration for movies or the share business she has with certain advertising agencies that has made the IT department to conduct the raid and verify the matter.

It is also heard that Rashmika is producing a movie in Tollywood. This might have also attracted the eyes of IT sleuths for holding a raid on her residence.
