Ballari, Jan 11: The teacher, who made a second standard student pronounce the Kannada word 'Pakkelubu' repeatedly as he was not able to say the same and made video of the same and also beat the student in the process, has been suspended from service.
T Chandrashekharappa, assistant teacher of Kuruvatti Government higher primary school in the district, is the person who is suspended from service. It is also learnt that notice will be served on the head teacher of the school also for violating the rule of not using mobile phones during school hours.

The video, in which the hapless boy of second standard, was made to repeatedly say the word 'Pakkelubu' had gone viral on social media.
Minister for primary education Suresh Kumar, who got irate on this video and the inhumane act of the teacher, wrote a letter to Umashankar, chief secretary of primary and secondary education department asking him to take stringent action on the erring teacher as well as the head teacher of the school. The minister also filed a complaint with the cybercrime police station in this regard.
