Mangaluru: Day of Sick observed at Infant Jesus Shrine on day 5 of Novena

Mangaluru, Jan 10: Day of the Sick was observed at Infant Jesus Shrine, on the 5th day of Novena on Thursday, January 9.

‘The pain we suffer enables us to understand the pain of others’ was the theme of the day, as this day was dedicated to the sick and the suffering. The mystery of human suffering was expounded in all the homilies. Sick were anointed and special prayers were offered for their speedy recovery.

A blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with Fr Muller Hospital. Around 100 donors came forward to donate blood. Fr Rayan Pinto headed the committee responsible for overseeing blood donation camp. During 10.30am Mass, a Kannada devotional album was released by renowned musicians from Mysore Tony and Christy. The pair has rendered music to the album. This album has been composed by Fr Richard Menezes and produced by Fr Wilfred Rodrigues.



Fr Nelson Pinto OCD, Shimogga, Fr Leo Lasrado, Jeppu Seminary, Fr Joseph Martis, Jeppu Seminary, Fr Alban D'Souza, Kalmadi, Fr Joy D'souza OCD, Sadbhavana, Fr Boniface Pinto, Jeppu Seminary, Fr Juze D’Souza OCD and Fr Alban D’Souza celebrated the Holy Eucharist and conducted the adoration during which the sick and those who care for them were commended to the care of Lord.

Bejai parish choir helped the liturgical singing during the 6 pm solemn Mass.
