Mangaluru, Jan 9: Social media is often agog with strange things. No one expected Kumaraswamy's dramatic dialogue, 'Nikhil Yellidiyappa' or exclamation from a person in Siddaramaiah's audiences, 'Howdu Huliya' to become viral. Social websites of late have earned the potential to catapult people to instant fame for weird things.
A banner supposedly put up by the friends of a groom on his first night has been catching the attention of the social media users now. The banner of course is unique because it has projected the first night as a war and the friends of the groom, who have created the banner, have wished that their friend will come out successful after the initial bout of struggle and fight.
In the banner which is addressed to their 'innocent and hedonist' friend, Vernon D'Souza, Bajjodi, Mangaluru, the friends say that the first night show after marriage would be enacted at 'Sopan' Bajjodi house on the night of January 4 from 12 midnight till next morning or as long as he can physically manage. "Our friend, tide over initial struggles and come out a winner. Well-wishers for your first night, Friends from this and that side of Pumpwell Flyover. All the best for your first game," the banner, which is in Kannada, reads.
People do play pranks like bursting of crackers outside the room of the newlyweds or placing demand for money or party before allowing the groom to enter room at night. The banner created by some crazy friends with good imagination has now attracted the attention of social media and its troll pages.
