Gulbarga, Sep 25: The world-renowned fluid dynamicist and India’s leading aerospace scientist, professor Roddam Narasimha will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd Science and Technology Congress jointly organised by the Gulbarga University and the Science and Technology Academy.
Prof Narasimha, who hails from Karnataka will be presented the award in the presence of renowned scientists such as the former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) U R Rao and director of the Indian Institute of Science P Balaram. At present Prof. Narasimha is working in the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) as the chairman of engineering centre, mechanical unit.
Prof Narasimha is also the recipient of several national and international awards including the Padma Bhushan. He has 17 books to his credit and has published more than 230 research publications.
