Bantwal: Dalit Seva Samithi protests urging to fulfil their demands

Bantwal, Jan 7: Dakshina Kannada district Dalit Seva Samithi held protests in front of BC Road Vidhan Saudha on Monday, January 7, urging to fulfil their various demands.

Dalit Samithi district president B K Sesappa Bedrakadu who led the protests said that those who do not have shelter in the council limits, town panchayat and gram panchayat limits should be provided sites. “Retired soldiers should be allotted title deeds for their measured land. Those who are employed on contract basis in the government, department and organizations associated to the government should be made permanent. Most of the workers here are belonging to scheduled case and scheduled tribe and they have crossed their age limits. Therefore, suitable facilities and justice should be made available to them,” he said.



Mangaluru taluk president Sridhar, Nalike Samaja Seva samithi president Ramesh Kadambu, Brahmashree Narayana Swamy’s president Marappa Suvarna Kedila, ladies wing district president Meenakshi Nelligudde, district chief secretary Ramanna Pilinja, Chandrashekar, district vice president Prasad Bolmar, Raju Hosmata, Bantwal taluk president Ganesh Seegeballe, Mohandas Vitla, Gopal Neralakatte, Kushalappa, Somappa, Annappa and Sunanda Puttur were present.

An appeal was submitted to MLA Rajesh Naik later. The MLA in his response promised to fulfil the demands.
