Mangaluru’s Anagha bags two gold medals in ice-skating at Singapore

Mangaluru, Jan 6: The city’s Anagha who represented India in international South East Asian open short track trophy – 2020 championship held at Singapore won two gold medals and brought laurels for the country.

She won the medals in the girl’s junior division 500 meter and 333 meter ice-skating in Singapore’s J Cube ice rink on January 4 and 5. There were contestants from 14 countries in the tournament. Anagha flew the flag of the country high with her feet.

Anagha is the daughter of Dr Rajesh Hukkeri and Dr Anitha Rajesh couple of Mangaluru and a student of fourth standard at Bejai Lourdes Central School here.

Anagha is getting trained in ice-skating from Indian team coach Avadhoot Thavade in Delhi.
