Mumbai, Jan 2: An unidentified commuter pelted stone at the guard's cabin at Ambivli station after the local train was delayed by 15 minutes. Fortunately, no one was injured as the stone hit outside the cabin. The delay was reportedly caused by technical glitches and was another incident where a railway staff got attacked.

Central Railway officials said that around 1.13 pm, after a Kasara-bound local reached Ambivli station, passengers approached guard M K Jaiswar over the delay and got into an argument with him.

Reportedly, over 25-30 passengers approached Jaiswar, the guard, who explained to them the reason for the delay. "After alerting the railway staff at Ambivli, I started the train for Kasara when an unidentified passenger pelted a stone at my cabin," he said.

Valmiki Shardul, a senior inspector of Kalyan railway police, said that no complaint was lodged.
