Kalaburagi: Three students attending educational camp drown

Kalaburagi, Jan 1: In a tragic incident which happened in the backwaters of Belakota dam in Kamalapur taluk of the district on Tuesday December 31 afternoon, three students drowned. The students were there to participate in the educational camp.

All the victims were ninth standard students of Satyasai Prem Niketan residential school, Anjutagi in Indi taluk of Vijayapura district. Those who lost their lives were Manjunath Channu Yadwad (15) from Indi, Shubham Sharanu Hosur (15) from Vijayapura and Laxman Bheemaraya Donnur (14) from Devarahipparagi.

The students wanted to swim in the standing water but drowned unfortunately. A case of unnatural death in this connection was filed in Mahagaon police station
