Daijiworld Media Network - Ramanagara (SP)

Ramanagara, Jan 1: The state government, in a sudden move, has transferred Kanakapura tahsildar Anandaiah. He is said to be close to former minister and local strongman D K Shivakumar.

It is being perceived that this transfer was affected on account of the installation of a 114 feet tall statue of Jesus Christ at Kapala Betta in Uyyamballi revenue division in Kanakapura taluk at the instance of Shivakumar. This issue has whipped up controversy.

Deputy chief minister of Karnataka Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, speaking some days back, had hinted that operation to clean up administration in this district would begin soon.

The said transfer order, which was issued on Monday December 30 night, was signed by secretary in revenue department R Umadevi.
