Panaji: Milk prices to go up by four rupees from Wednesday

Panaji, Dec 31: The prices of standardized and cow milk by Goa Dairy will be increased by four rupees per liter with immediate effect. While standardized Shakti milk will be sold for Rs 25, cow milk will be available for Rs 22. There will be no change in prices of full cream milk and cold gold.

Arvind Khuntkar, administrator of Goa Dairy said that the increase was inevitable as the dairy was incurring Rs 1.7 lac loss per day after it increased procurement rates of buffalo milk by seven rupees per liter.
