Mangaluru, Dec 30: It is that time of the year when festive spirit pervades the air, as thousands of faithful flock to churches to herald Christmas with joy and devotion.

The birth of Jesus Christ was celebrated with much joy and religious fervour in St. Dominic Ashoknagar Church, Ashoknagar.

On Christmas Eve, Tue Dec 24, Church brimmed with faithful. The altar was decorated with Christmas lights, stars and other adornments. Christmas crib portraying Infant Jesus was a special attraction.

The main celebrant Rev Fr Roshan Menezes, Capuchin delivered the christmas message.

Parish priest Rev Fr Aquin Noronha OP, Assistant parish priest Fr Royston Lobo, St. Dominic community Fathers, Sebastian, Francis, Arul, Greyfon and Roby were present for the Eucharistic Celebration.

After mass, special cultural programme was organised by St. Dominic Association while Santa Claus spread cheer among children.

Carols and melodious mass hymns sung by parish Choir and seminary brothers added joy to the festivities.
