Mysuru, Dec 30: In connection with the attempt on the life of MLA Tanveer Sait, sometime back, the police, who had earlier arrested seven persons, have now taken into custody another accused.
The person arrested now has been identified as Mateen Baig (45), resident of Ghousia Nagar here. On being produced in the court, he was remanded to two weeks judicial custody.
A special investigation team led by deputy commissioner of police Mutturaj, has been investigating this case. With this arrest, the number of persons arrested in this case has gone up to eight.
