Bantwal: Jeep meets with accident at school in Mani

Bantwal, Dec 29: A jeep which was being used for an event rolled off a wall and got stuck in a 90 degree angle at Balavikasa English Medium School in Mani near here on Saturday, December 29.

A convention was being held at the school auditorium. The president of the convention Dr Dharanidevi Malagathi was brought in an open jeep from Mani Rajkamal auditorium in procession to the venue where the programme was to take place. After the president of the event reached the venue of Balavikasa School, the jeep was parked at the other end of the school compound.

It is said that someone sat at the driver's seat and turned on the ignition. The jeep then started to move and rolled over the edge of the wall.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as as nobody was around when the incident took place, except the person in the jeep.

The vehicle was damaged in the incident. It was lifted with the help of another vehicle.
