Mangaluru, Dec 26: Sunni Coordination, Karnataka, demanded for a judicial probe into the incidents that led to anti-CAA protest turning violent in Mangaluru on December 19.

Addressing media here on Thursday, December 26, Sunni Yuvajana Sangha general secretary Dr MSM Zaini Kamil said," The incident has brought sense of fear in people. There was no need to resort to lathi-charge at State Bank. Two innocents, who were not involved in the protest have died. We have right to express our opinions. What made police to resort lathi-charge? Police instigated the violence and this indicates that all was pre-planned.”

"Two innocents were named in the FIR and there is no proof about their involvement in the protest. We demand judicial enquiry into the case and we believe that we will get justice in the case,” said Kamil.

Khazi P M Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal, H I Abusufiyan Madani, S P Hamza Sakafi and others were present.
