Mangaluru: St Aloysius Higher Primary School Kodialbail conducts festive Christmas programme

Mangaluru, Dec 24: St Aloysius Higher Primary School Kodialbail celebrated Christmas on December 23 at the school auditorium.

The chief dignitaries for the day were – chief guest – Dr Vidya Vinutha D'Souza - A lecturer from MSW department - St Aloysius College, Fr Gerald Furtado S J - correspondent, Philomena Lewis - Headmistress, Arvind K Rao - The vice-president of the PTA were present for the programme on the dais.

The students of std I enthralled the student body and the guests by singing carols and various items with great zeal. They emphasized the importance of caring, sharing and spreading goodness all around.



A Kannada Christmas carol was enacted highlighting the spirit of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ. A dance performed by the children added to the festive atmosphere.

The correspondent, Fr Gerald Furtado SJ, expressed his delight on seeing the enthusiasm of the children who enlivened the spirit of Christmas. Speaking about Christmas he said, "Christmas comprises of two things that is giving and receiving."

Chief Guest - Dr Vidya D'Souza, in her message said that Christmas is a festive occasion to spread joy, happiness and peace all over. It is also shared by those who are suffering, the less privileged, the elderly such that by sharing happiness they will have joy and happiness once again.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the Christmas events held on December 17 which included greeting card making and carol singing. The celebration brought in cheer to every student and staff.

The entire programme was compered by the students of std I. Vote of thanks was followed by the school anthem.
