Bengaluru, Dec 24: The Delhi high court adjourned hearing of a petition filed on behalf of Usha Shivakumar, wife of Congress leader from Karnataka, D K Shivakumar, to January 15. Usha Shivakumar had questioned the summons issued by enforcement directorate seeking her personal presence at Delhi relating to money laundering case former minister, S K Shivakumar has been facing.
When the petition came up for hearing on Monday December 23, presiding officer of the single judge bench adjourned the hearing.
Relatives of Anjaneya Hanumanthaiah, close confidante of Shivakumar, namely Hanumanthaiah, Laxmamma, Jayasheela and Meenakshi too had received summons from the enforcement directorate. The enforcement directorate however said in the court that it would be enough if these people provide the documents sought by them and their personal presence is at Delhi as per the summons earlier served on them is not needed.
