Bengaluru, Dec 23: The missing Alaskan Malamute dog, which caught media attention after its owner offered a reward of Rs 1 lac to its finder, has finally returned.
Satish C, a Bengaluru based dog breeder who resides in Banashankari had filed a complaint in Hanumanthanagar police station, after the dog was stolen on December 12.
The dog was Satish's prized possession as each of its pups cost over Rs 2 lac. Satish had imported the dog from China and had given it to a woman named Soumya with a deal that whenever the dog gives birth, she can keep one pup and hand the rest of the litter to him.
However, the three-year old Alaskan Malmute was stolen from its house. Satish had also announced a reward of Rs 1 lac. But on Sunday, the dog returned home.
Satish doubts that the dog was stolen by someone who is familiar with it. However, fearing the media attention the missing case received has left the dog back. He further adds that no other city-breeder has got hold of a Alaskan Malamute and hence he claims its worth Rs 8 crore.
