Puttur: Rape attempt case - Court exonerates accused

Puttur, Dec 23: The court here, through a judgement, absolved a person accused of rape attempt of the charge. The incident had happened nearly five years back.

The complainant had stated that Rafiq who came in a motor bike, had intercepted her when she was walking on the road at Punchappadi in the taluk at 6.30 pm on January 29, 2015 and tried to rape her.

Kadaba police, who had registered the complaint, had filed charge sheet in the court. Judge of the court, Kishen G Madalagi, who heard the case, examined witnesses and perused the documents, has absolved the accused of the charge.
