Karkala: Missing woman's body found at Kalya

Karkala, Dec 23: The corpse of a woman who had gone missing recently was found from Kalya near here on Sunday December 22.

B Bharathalaxmi Udupa (68), residing at Brindavan in Belman, had gone missing suddenly from her home on December 20. Her son Srinath Udupa, had filed missing complaint in rural police station here and the police had registered a case.

Bharathalaxmi had retired as secretary of gram panchayat.

The body was found from a privately owned well at Halekatte near Kalya. As the hands and legs of the woman were found tied together, this is believed to be a case of well-planned murder. The police have undertaken investigation.
