Bantwal, Dec 22: Bantwal, which spent Friday, December 20, in anxiety limped back to normalcy on Saturday, December 21. Business was conducted as usual. Though buses to Mangaluru and other private buses remained off roads, government buses were plying.

More number of people was seen in government offices and banks than on Friday. Business in hotels and shopping malls was less than expected but activities intensified in the afternoon. Schools and colleges had declared holiday.

Local buses to Moodbidri, Sarapady, Siddakatte and Polali and those arriving to B C Road did not run. People who had urgent need had to rely of private vehicles and auto rickshaws.
