Moodbidri: Koti Chennaya Kambala rescheduled for December 25

Moodbidri, Dec 21: The 17th annual Koti-Chennaya Kambala being hosted by Koti-Chennaya Jodukare Kambala Samiti was scheduled to be organized here on December 21. In view of unexpected developments at Mangaluru, the Kambala has been decided to be held on December 25.

Kambala Samiti president and MLA Umanath Kotian, gave this information at a press meet he addressed on Friday.

Kotian said that on account of curfew imposed within Mangaluru police commissionerate limits, bringing buffalos to the Kambala venue and leading them back pose problems. He said that at the insistence of the police department, the Kambala has been postponed to December 25, and regretted for the inconvenience caused to the people on account of this abrupt postponement.

Kambala Samiti treasurer Bhaskar S Kotian, general secretary Gunapal Kadamba, district Kambala Samiti treasurer Suresh K Poojary, organizer Ranjit Poojary, and others were present.
