Margao, Dec 18: Officials of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) and directorate of health services in a meeting held on Tuesday and chaired by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat decided on a new deadline for the South Goa district hospital.

The officials have agreed to hand over the reins of the project to DHS by January 31. The DHS would then require another month to shift goods and machines from Hospicio.

"All issues that had led to the delay have been sorted out. Hopefully, the hospital will be commissioned by Gudi Padwa,” Kamat said.
