Prison Ministry of India celebrates Christmas at Ballari jail

Ballari, Dec 18: Prison Ministry of India (PMI), Ballari unit celebrated Christmas and New Year in advance in the jail on Tuesday, December 17. Fr Henry D’ Souza while blessing said that there are many opportunities to be good. The mistakes committed unknowingly should be corrected, he said.

Vijaya Mary school children performed ‘Divyajyothi’ drama of the father donating his eyes to blind son. Dances were performed by Holy Cross Laxminagar school children.



Jail officials, nuns and priest were present.

Free medical camp was held for prisoners. Seven expert doctors, psychiatrists, St Mary Hospital lab staff, nurses and volunteers coordinated.

The programme was conducted by PMI delegation secretary Fr Ponnu Swamy, delegation organizers and PRO Fr Ivan Pinto, St Mary hospital superior sister Catherine, Dr Nivedita, Solome, Raghavendran, Jayaprakash Reddy, Ravikrishna, Basavaraj, Deepak Bille, Jyanaprakash and others.
