Byndoor, Dec 17: Byndoor Police arrested Mohan Chandra Kharvi (41), who was accused of assaulting Uppunda government higher primary Urdu school in-charge headmistress Mallika Shetty.
Kharvi was absconding and Kundapur ASP crime division team Santosh, Manjunath and Satish Poojary were tracking his movements. They followed Kharvi to Kumta, Byandoor, Surathkal, Kasargod and finally managed to arrest him near Maravanthe on Tuesday, December 17, with the help of Byndoor Police PSI (Probationary) Bhimashankar and staff of Byndoor Police Station.
Kharvi will be kept in judicial custody up to December 30. Gangadhar who helped Kharvi escape was arrested on December 15 and will be kept in judicial custody for 15 days.
A case in Byndoor Police Station under sections 354(A) and (B), 353, 323, 504, 506, 212 and IPC 34 has been registered.
