Panaji, Sep 9: The Goa Bench of Bombay High Court on Tuesday gave three months time to state police to complete departmental inquiry against police sub inspector Nerlon Albuquerque, accused of goofing up Scarlet death case.
The division bench gave time till November 30, 2009 for the state police to finish their departmental inquiry against him.
Albuquerque was heading Anjuna police station when British teenager scarlet Eden Keeling's body was found on the shore.
The PSI was charged for shoddy probe into the matter and was suspended from services in March last year. Subsequently he was dismissed from services.
Albuquerque had challenged his dismissal in the high court pleading that he was not given the hearing before deciding on dismissal.
The state police had submitted to the court that inquiry against Albuquerque was still on.
