Udupi: SIO holds protest against police atrocity on students of Jamia Milia University of Delhi

Udupi, Dec 17: Violent protests are taking place all over the country against the Citizen (Amendment) Act. Members of Udupi belonging to Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) held protest at the campus of Jamia Masjid of the city, against bursting of teargas shells and firing on students of Jamia Milia University of Delhi and Aligarh University.

Addressing the protesters, Nihal Kidiyoor, state president of SIO, said, "CAA is against the nation and the constitution. Though protests are held in line with our constitution, the central government is trying to subdue the protests by the use of brutal police force. We condemn the police atrocities against the students of Jamia Milia and Aligarh universities."

Afwan Hoode, district president of SIO, Sharukh Teerthahalli, secretary, Wasim Abdullah, Fazil, Rishan and Ansar, all members of SIO were present.
