What do you mean by unexpectedly? there are many safety rules a engineer has to fallow before he signs the cancellation of work permit. Here the Engineer in charge is directly responsible.

Nobody cares for a poor man's life in India.
The power of does not transmit on the lines unless somebody switch on!!!!!! That some one has been careless and that careless person's superiors are equally careless for this kind of accident to happen. This matter needs to be investigated thoroughly & each one in the chain responsible this criminal negligence to be punished. Lineman's family should be adequately compensated. The power company should be forced to implement proper safety protocols.

The dismantled fuse before climbing up any pole must be carried by the person who climbs the pole when everything is ok then he only must reinstall the Fuse by doing so we can avoid tragedy
Otherwise Fuse is somewhere and the person climbing somewhere

So sad to hear these kind of incidents repetedly with line man(Field), Authority for the board shall implement LOTO (Lock out Tag out) system in order to prevent these kind of accidents. In LOTO system particular lineman will apply his personal lock and tag with his personal details on the breaker, so nobody cannot switch on accidently without line man removing his lock. also its responsibility of company to provide proper PPE(Personal protective equipment) to his crews while working with electrical transformer or related with it.

This is a case of carelessness and irresponsibility by the electricity board and the company which hired Yogeesh. There is no safety for electricians in India. No lock out-tag out procedure is followed and no safety gears are used. Electricity is not water to rush in lines. Someone has carelessly energized the power at the other end for the lines to carry high voltage. May his soul rest in peace.

Power line does not go live unexpectedly by itself. The case should be probed and the person who switched on the power should be booked for murder!

    People,

Lack of training...person who powered on when others were working on power line should be executed...When we learn safety standards...

Those KEB Engineers who sent untrained folks to work on power lines are unfit to work there...Safety standards should be learned before accidents occur not afterwards...Same with driving...Indians are very low in these ALWAYS...

    RIP Yogeesh...

    ...Tak...Takk...

We boast about chandrayaan, Tejas aircraft and software export but we are not able to prevent deaths of innocent linemen on duty! Shame on us and our primitive technology. How many more have to die before any serious action is taken???

Life lost due to irresponsibility. Be more sensitive to life cause once lost its gone forever. He could be a sole bread winner, loving son, brother, friend all lost due to tragedy. Safety needs to be a priority not an option to such big companies rather than only minting money..
