Mangaluru: St Anthony’s Ashram Jeppu – ‘Christa Namana 2019’ rocks city

Mangaluru, Dec 16: St Anthony’s Ashram Jeppu, as part of the Christmas feast, shared the joy of Christmas by holding celebrations at different places in Mangaluru.

The first and the second programmes were held at Green ground Deralakatte and Thokkottu Bus stand on Saturday, December 14 at 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm respectively. The third and the fourth programmes were held on Sunday, December 15 at Panambur beach and Kavoor junction at 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm respectively.



The programmes included Christmas carols in Kannada, Konkani, Tulu and English. There was also a skit depicting the scenes and situations surrounding the birth of Jesus. To savor the sweetness of festive mood cake was distributed to those who were present for the programme. Similarly gifts were given to the winners of lucky coupons. Around sixty artists contributed their talents to make the celebration successful. Vincent Fernandes of Mogachi Lahra fame and Martin Ferrao trained the groups. Thousands of people participated in the programme.

This is the fifth consecutive year St Anthony’s Ashram is holding Christmas programme at public places.
