Mangaluru, Dec 16: ‘Grand Voilin Concert’ by renowned violin maestro and ‘Fidding Monk’ fame Kumaresh Rajagopalan was held at Northern Sky City, Pumpwell, on Sunday, December 15.
Vidwan Rajagopalan was accompanied by Vidwan Arjun Kumar on Mridangam and Vidwan Pramath Kiran on tabla. Many violin and music lovers gathered for the event.
The event was organized as part of Swaralaya Sadhana Foundation's special violin learning camp (fingering techniques) which was held from December 13 to 15. The national-level camp included a one-to-one discussion with Vidwan Kumaresh with a demonstration. This is the first time Vidwan Kumaresh conducted such a camp in Mangaluru. The concert was held with the valedictory function of the camp.
Vidwan Kumaresh Rajagopalan is well-known as the 'Fiddling Monk'. He is one of the most talented violinists of the world. He in the company of his brother Ganesh Rajagopalan has given many violin duets and the duo is well known as 'Ganesh Kumaresh'. Kumaresh is an expert in playing any of the world music with mastery.
