Mangaluru: National-level violin camp opens at NorthernSky City, Vid Kumaresh to perform

Mangaluru, Dec 15: Classical music aficionados are in for a treat as internationally acclaimed violinist Vidwan Kumaresh Rajagopalan will be performing at the premises of NorthernSky City in Ujjodi, near Pumpwell circle here on Sunday December 15 at 4 pm.

Vidwan Rajagopalan will be accompanied by Vidwan Arjun Kumar on Mridangam and Vidwan Pramath Kiran on tabla.

 

The event has been organized as part of Swaralaya Sadhana Foundation's special violin learning camp (fingering techniques) being held from December 13 to 15. The national-level camp includes a one-to-one discussion with Vidwan Kumaresh with a demonstration. This is the first time Vidwan Kumaresh is conducting such a camp in Mangaluru. The concert is being held with the valedictory function of the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by Vidwan Kumaresh Rajagopalan in the presence for Kritheen Amin, director Northernsky Properties, and presided by Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor on Friday December 13.

Vidwan Kumaresh Rajagopalan is well-known as the 'Fiddling Monk'. He is one of the most talented violinists of the world. He in the company of his brother Ganesh Rajagopalan has given many violin duets and the duo is well known as 'Ganesh Kumaresh'. Kumaresh is an expert in playing any of the world music with mastery.
