Puttur: Kidnap from Madhya Pradesh - Two girls, two accused, held

Puttur, Dec 13: It is reported that police personnel who came from Madhya Pradesh took away two boys and two girls who were staying near Uppinangady in the taluk, on Thursday December 12.

Allegedly, the boys had abducted the minor girls from Madhya Pradesh. One out of the two boys happens to be a minor. The girls they brought with them belonged to their native village, it is said.

Basant Sirsage (21) from Madhya Pradesh, with the support of his accomplice, a 17-year-old boy, had kidnapped two girls from their village. The accused brought these girls to Uppinangady and kept them in a rented house of their friend. The accused worked here as coolies.

Madhya Pradesh police who began investigation about the missing girls, got the hint that the people they were searching for were in Uppinangady. They sought help from Uppinangady police, and took into custody two accused along with the kidnapped girls from a rented room near Kadavina Bagilu there.
