Udupi, Dec 13: On Thursday December 12, light rain was experienced in places like Ambalpady, Kadekar and Tenkanidiyoor in the city outskirts.
Many parts of the coast had cloudy and hot weather since Thursday morning. As a result, people suffered from sultriness. The sun shone brightly and temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius, which is about three degrees higher than normal, was registered at Panambur. Panambur had been recording highest temperature in the country since the last some days. On Thursday, however, Karwar surpassed Panambur and clocked highest temperature of 36 degree Celsius.
The meteorological department has predicted chances of light rainfall on December 13 and 14 at a few places in south interior Karnataka.
