Mangalore: Inter High School Quiz Competition Conducted at Infosys

Mangalore, Sep 8: Scholars 2009, the annual inter high school quiz competition, was held at Infosys Mangalore here recently. 

The quiz saw participation from 77 schools from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts.


 

This is the fifth consecutive year that Infosys is conducting this quiz. Kannada and English quizzes were conducted for the students based on their medium of education. After the preliminary written test, 12 teams (6 Kannada and 6 English) were short listed for the finals.  Keerthi Sagar and Thribhuvan from Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple PU college, Kateel, and Shishir M. Upadya and Allen from Canara Composite High School, Dongarkeri were the winners of the Scholars 2009 Kannada and English quizzes respectively. The cash prizes and trophies were distributed by Bhaskar Chicknanjundappa and Gopikrishnan K., DC heads, Mangalore. 

The welcome note was delivered by Bhaskar Chicknanjundappa. Quiz Masters Vijetha S Rai & Vasudha N. V. kept the audience and teams at the edge of their seats with the innovative and interesting questions.

A tour of the Infosys Mangalore facility was also arranged for the students and the guardians accompanying them.

    Prahlad Kamath & Manikya B.S.(students of Sri Venkataramana English Medium High School,Kundapur) are the winners of scholars 2010(English Quiz) conducted on September 4, 2010..I thank the infosys for conducting such wonderful, interesting programmes. Prizes were breath-taking .. Beautiful trophy for the school, cash of Rs 3570 for each participant& a nice school bag .. all the questions were general ..No questions on computers & Infosys ..Best of luck for scholars 2011..

    I attneded the screening test for scholars quiz on 04.09.10.
    It is conducted systematic way and provided all facilities to the teachers and students during process of quiz. it good experiance for me. congratulations to the INSFOSYS TEAM-Mangalore
