Kasargod, Dec 12: In an incident which happened in the city on Wednesday, December 11, a woman forgot to pick her six-year-old child when leaving the bus.

When the bus arrived at the new bus stand, the bus staff noticed that the child was inside the bus. They handed over the child to Pink Police who verified the school bag held by the child, and called the phone number mentioned in the diary found in the bag. But no one responded to the call.

The police then took the child to the school. The school authorities then contacted the relatives of the child after referring to their records. The relatives arrived at the school and took the child away.

It is learnt that the mother of the child had come here to meet a relative who is being treated in a private hospital. When the bus stopped near a college at Vidyanagar, she had forgotten the child and slighted from the bus. The woman realized that her child was accompanying her and she had left it inside the bus, only after the police handed over the child to relatives but not before.
