Mangaluru, Dec 11: Lourdes Central School, Mangaluru was conferred the prestigious International School Award for the period 2019-22. The award was presented by the British Council.
In a colourful ceremony held in New Delhi’s Leela Arabian Convention Hotel auditorium on December 6, school principal Fr Robert D’ Souza and school ISA coordinator Henry Mascarenhas, received the award from British Council art director Jonathan Kennedy. British Council India representative Hritika Parul was present on the occasion.
The award was presented on the basis of valuation report of 49 different activities on 7 projects including different country flags and symbols, different kinds of clothing in cultures, importance of clothing, study of music and environment, need and respect of workers, global warming a warning, challenges of health and hygiene during the academic year 2018-19 along with text book studies.
The report was prepared by students by collaborating and exchanging ideas with school coordinators from Kuwait, Britain and Tanzania.
