Udupi: Exhibition-cum-sale of KSIC’s Mysore silk sarees inaugurated

Udupi, Dec 10: The exhibition cum sale of Karnataka State Industries Corporation’s (KSIC) Mysore silk sarees was inaugurated by District Commissioner of Udupi G Jagadeesha at Diana hotel in the city on Tuesday, December 10. The exhibition cum sale will be run up to December 13.

G Jagadeesha inaugurated the Mysore Silk Sarees exhibition and said, “Branding was given utmost importance during Mysore Maharaja’s rule and hence many brands from Mysore are popular all over the world. Mysore silk is one among those products. People of Udupi can make use of this golden opportunity as there are no branches of Mysore silks nearby and also they can avail a discount of 25% on the MRP price.”



Banuprakash, managing director and marketing head of KSIC said, “Traditional Mysore silks sarees are put in the exhibition. ‘Crepe de Chain’ design of saree is the main attraction in this exhibition and 25% discount will be given to the customers. Mysore Silks has got Geographical Indication Registration. It is ISO 9001-2015, EMS 14001-2015 and OHSAS 18001-2007 certified.”

Vittal Pai and Kashinat, owners of Diana hotel, Udupi were present on the dais.

Saree exhibition cum sale will be open from December 10 to 13 and customers can witness the display of Mysore Silk Sarees from 10 am to 10 pm.
