Mangaluru, Dec 9: The Annual School Day of classes UKG, IV, VI, VIII, X was held on Saturday December 7 at the school grounds.
The cultural programme through LED presentation took off with a prayer song imploring blessings from the Divine God Almighty and a welcome dance with rhythmic thrills of sheer excellence which ushered in the festive tone.
The tiny tots with dancing feet and the tiny lads with tapping chairs enthralled the audience with their splendid performance. In a family that seeks genuine treasure troves of thought-values, the item that was presented by class IV ‘An ideal Family’ found a unique niche as a sterling collection of self-development pearls.
Class VI showcased in dance form the culture of five continents uniting the globe as ‘One World One People’. Youthful boys of class IV and V displayed ‘The Powerful Voice - Malala—One Book, One Pen, One Teacher Can Change the World’.
Students of class VIII under the theme ‘Envisioned Women’ portrayed the significant women achievers and the urgent need to save every girl child. The tableau offered a glint of the pioneering days of the Apostolic Carmel in India and the hardships borne. ‘Conquer the World’, an English play on Arunima Sinha by class X gave an added dose of daring to everyone who meets with tragic events on life’s journey.
Christmas greetings with lovely carols by students of class X ushered in the Christmas season of sharing, peace, joy and happiness.
Reeshal Roshini Monteiro was honoured together with her parents for her excellent performance in powerlifting at the national level, securing a silver medal.
The president, Sr Maria Shubha AC, in her speech emphasized the role of parents and teachers in shaping the destiny of their ward.
The chief guest, Preethi Keerthi D'Souza reminisced her happy memories and offered tips to the parents in the upbringing of their children and emphasized the importance of appreciation in the growth of the child.
The annual report was presented by teachers Vinitha, Sonia, Kausalya and Liffin.
Sr Sarika AC, the principal welcomed the gathering and Liffin proposed the vote of thanks. Anu, Anvitha, Diya and Shreya Jain compered the programme.
