Dharwad: 'No question of Operation Lotus' - Kateel

Daijiworld Media Network - Dharwad (SP)

Dharwad, Dec 9: "Our party has never indulged in Operation Lotus in the past, and will not resort to such tactics in future. But we cannot help if the Congress fails to hold back leaders and workers of their own parties," said MP and state BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He was speaking to media persons during his visit to the city to take part in the meeting of organizational election observers on Sunday December 8, and his comment came in response to a question about his party launching another bout of Operation Kamala.

"We welcome all workers and leaders of other parties if they are ready to accept the principles and policies of our party. State Congress president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, should, as a first step, try to win over the confidence of his party people. If the MLAs of his party are aggrieved and knock at our doors, we cannot help," he said.

He ridiculed the Congress leaders for making preparations for the improbable in advance by discussing who should be the next chief minister. He pointed out that Siddaramaiah, who repeatedly said that he would be the next chief minister, has changed his tune now. Now he claims he had never said so, he stated.
