Ramanagara: Late night rave party raided, 19 taken into custody

Ramanagara, Dec 9: A team of police led by the district superintendent of police, Anup Shetty, raided a mango plantation near Vibhutikere in the district during the early hours of Sunday December 8 and arrested 19 persons. Various intoxicating substances including ganja and other drugs were seized during the raid.

The mango plantation in question is located about eight km from the city on Kanakapura road. It is spread over 32 acres of land. Rave party was held there on Saturday night. It is said that the plantation is owned by Venkatesh from Bengaluru and the party was hosted by Madhumeeta. Puranik Purohit, Nabira and Richu reportedly took active party is organizing this party.

The police came to know that the party was planned a month in advance and a mobile app was also created for it. Through this app, young men and women were invited. About 500 guests from Bengaluru, Tamil Nadu and Kerala had come together for the party. Out of them, only 19 were arrested and a case was registered in Ramanagara rural police station against the party organizers.

When the police reached the plantation at 3 am, youngsters were dancing to the DJ music.At the sight of the police, they threw away the drugs here and there. In addition to ganja and liquor, Hookah and other intoxicants were found. These things were taken over by excise officials.
