Bhatkal: Doctor couple celebrates marriage anniversary underwater in sea

Bhatkal, Dec 9: Marriage anniversary is one of the most important day in the life of a couple. It is common for the husband and wife to exchange memorable gifts on the occasion or even embarking on some adventure that will linger long in their memory. However, at Murudeshwar near here a couple, who are doctors by profession celebrated their marriage anniversary in a unique way under water in sea for 35 minutes and exchanged flower bouquets also.

The whole event was taken care by Nethrani Adventure organization of Murudeshwar. Dr Chethan and Dr Deepika S are doctors in RNS hospital of Murudeshwar. They are the ones who celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in this way. The couple, who had an ambition of celebrating their anniversary in such a way so that it remains etched in their memory for many years, chose underwater world of sea for their celebration.

The Nethrani Adventure company took the couple to Nethrani Island, which is situated at the center of Arabian Sea. They were taken to deep sea with the assistance of oxygen cylinders by expert divers. Dr Chethan and Dr Deepika enjoyed their celebration and increased their joy by exchanging flower bouquets in deep water. They swam with the fishes for about 35 minutes and came back to the surface.
