Mangaluru: Soul soothing Melodic Rhythm held at Expert Campus, Valachil

Mangaluru, Dec 7: An innovative ‘Melodic Rhythm’ presenting melody and rhythm adorned by dance creating a celestial aura and a divine experience was held at the cultural centre of the Expert Campus at Valachil, Mangaluru.

The show featured Padmashri Pt Vijay Ghate, Pune on tabla; Ustad Rafique Khan, Mangaluru, on Sitar; Sheetal Kolwalkar, Pune, presenting Kathak Ghungroo and Suranjan Khandalkar, Pune, vocalist. The audience was enthralled by the soul soothing performance of the celebrated artists. The performance showcased the heights of musical creativity, instrumental accomplishment and the mesmerising skills of Indian classical dance and its harmonious blending to create a spiritual experience.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru felicitated artists with bouquet of flowers.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, Ankush N Nayak, director, Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions, architect Deepika A Nayak and Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Expert PU College, Valachil, were present on the occasion.

Nidhi R Shetty extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and the audience, anchored the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
