Mangaluru: Under attack by street dogs, cow loses life

Mangaluru, Dec 7: A pack of street dogs which pounced on a cow took away its life. This incident happened on Friday December 6 near Kuntalaguli, Konaje near here.

A cow belonging to a nearby house had been left to graze in a hilly terrain behind the BCM hostel at Kuntalaguli, Konaje, on Friday. At around noon, over ten canines which roamed around the area suddenly launched fierce attack on the cow and left it bleeding profusely after leaving it severely injured with their bites.

The locals went to the rescue of the harassed cow and tried to provide succour. However, because of its wounds, the cow died sometime later. This incident has left people fearing for their safety because of the wild attack by street dogs in the area.
