Blues continue - Mangalore University evaluators get two more holidays

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 6: The problem created by the failure of the company that was outsourced for works relating to degree examination answer sheet evaluation by Mangaluru University to discharge its duties, continues. There is no likelihood of the evaluation work getting momentum soon, as the problem has not been addressed.

In the meantime, evaluators have been given two more days’ holidays as answer sheets did not reach the evaluation centres.

The degree examinations were completed and evaluation work had begun a week back. As the answer sheets did not reach the evaluation centre located at the university college, the evaluators were given two days leave. After evaluators sat on dharna in protest against the mismanagement, some answer sheets were delivered to them. But the company to which the work was outsourced has not delivered answer sheets to the evaluation centres located at the degree college at Car Street and university college on Thursday too. As evaluation work could not be taken up as a result, those entrusted with evaluation work have been given two more holidays.

In the meanwhile, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has condemned the chaos prevailing in evaluation work and the delaying tactics employed by the university. District convener of ABVP, Sandesh Rai Majakkar, called upon the vice chancellor of the university, registrar and registrar (evaluation) to immediately take remedial steps to address the problem by taking the issue seriously. He said that failing compliance, his organization will launch protest against the concerned.
