Mangaluru, Dec 3: “Vishwa Hindu Parishad's international baithak (session) will be held from December 25 to 30 at Sanghanikethan, Manngudda,” informed M B Puranik, working president Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
Addressing media here on Tuesday December 3, M B Puranik said, "Following the verdict delivered by the Supreme Court permitting construction of temple dedicated to Lord Ram at Ayodhya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been actively pursuing the issue of drawing a plan of action for the temple. The central board of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and international working committee will hold the baitak in Mangaluru for the first time.
“About 400 delegates from America, Germany, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Nepal will take part in the meeting which will be held under the guidance of Sarakaryavaha of Rashtriya Swayamsvak Sangh, Bhaiyyaji Joshi. The international baithak will be held from December 25. On December 27, the baithak will be inaugurated by Dharmastala Dharmadikari Dr D Veerendra Hegde and Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.
“The Supreme Court in its verdict had asked the central government to form a trust for the construction of temple at Ayodhya. Vishwa Hindu Parishad will give full-fledged support for the decisions taken by the trust,” he said.
“Vishwa Hindu Parishad strongly condemns the rape of veterinary doctor at Hyderabad. In this connection, Durga Vahini, women’s wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, will stage protest on December 4, demanding strict action against the culprits,” said Sharan Pumpwell, regional secretary, VHP.
VHP leaders Krishna Murthy, Gopal Kutthar and Shivanand Mendon were also present.
