Kundapur, Dec 2: A woman who was supposed get married on Monday, December 2, went missing from her home. The family later found that she had eloped with her lover and got married with him in a temple.
The bride who hails from Maravanthe was betrothed to a boy from Trasi. The arranged marriage was fixed by the bride’s parents and a wedding was planned on a grand scale. On Sunday evening, the bride was all decked up and she attended her Mehndi celebrations, which was conducted in grand manner.
However, on Monday morning, the bride’s parents and relatives found that the girl was missing along with the wedding jewellery. This created a panic situation.

Meanwhile, the groom had already got ready and started off to the wedding scheduled at Konkan Kharvi Bhavan, Trasi. The matter came to light when they found the girl’s family was missing.
Wedding for the missing bride in temple
The bride eloped with her lover in the wee hours of Monday. She later got married with him in a temple. The girl was in love with the boy and she had told her parents about her intention to marry him. However, her parents rejected the alliance and fixed the wedding with a boy of their choice. The girl agreed to their demands.
The girl then completed all the wedding customs for which her family spent a huge sum. However, on the wedding day, she decided to get married to the groom of her choice.
Localities reported that they had seen two vehicles waiting at Trasi on Monday morning and it is said that the bride fled in one of them.
The wedding parties of the boy and the girl who were in an awkward situation did not know what to do. Meanwhile, it is said that a girl who had come for the wedding, agreed to get married to the groom.
