Mangaluru: Infant Mary Church’s ward celebrates Children’s Day and get-together

Mangaluru, Dec 2: Children’s Day celebration and ward get-together of the Infant Jesus Ward of Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi was held on Sunday, December 1 at 5.30 pm in Judy Sequeira’s house.

The programme began with words of warm welcome by Judy Sequeira. Gurkar of the ward conducted prayer service for the children and for all the ward families. It was followed by cutting of the cake by all children. The ward members felicitated the children with a greeting song.



Parish priest Fr Robert Ivan D’Souza, OCD spoke a few words greeting the children and on the relevance of conducting such programme at the ward level where all the children get the opportunity to showcase their talents. Assistant parish priest Rev. Fr Patrick Lobo, OCD and deacon Joseph were present for the programme and conveyed their good wishes.

Games were conducted for children as well as adults and prizes were given to the winners. Children and adults showcased their talents through songs and various dances. All the children present were given mementos/gifts.

The programme concluded with dinner at around 8.15 pm. It was an enjoyable event for both children and adults alike.
