Mangaluru: Malicious propaganda against KMC Hospital - Management approaches police

Mangaluru, Dec 2: The management of Kasturba Medical College here has appealed to the police commissioner here, urging him to take steps against people who it said have been spreading malicious and untrue information against the hospital and some of its doctors through social websites.

The hospital authorities said that the posts made in social websites against the hospital are baseless. They claimed that some people have been purposefully spreading false information about the hospital and its doctors with ulterior motives.

Regional chief executive officer of KMC Hospitals, Sagir Siddiqui, has requested the people not to rely on information that is spread through a number of WhatsApp groups.

A delegation of the hospital comprising Sagir Siddiqui, Dr Narasiha Pai and Dr M N Bhat met city police commissioner Dr Harsha P S, and handed over a memorandum in this connection.
